Mrs. Janetta Hill Ford

July 31, 1933 - May 6, 2022

Funeral service for Mrs. Janetta H. Ford, 88, of Auburn, AL will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, May 14, 2022 at White Street Missionary Baptist Church with interment in Town Creek Cemetery. Rev. Jamal Oliver will officiate. Pastor Roland Austin will deliver the eulogy. Masks are required. Mrs. Ford passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Bethany House. She was a member of White Street Missionary Baptist Church. In 1950, she graduated from Lee County Training School and attended Tuskegee Institute. Prior to retiring to Auburn, she was a member of Bethel Metropolitan Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, FL. Mrs. Ford retired from Raymond James and Associates. Public viewing will be held Friday from 4:00-6:00 pm with a family hour from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. Her remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Precious memories will be forever cherished by: three sons, Geoffrey K. Hill of Auburn, AL, Lawrence E. (Melodis) Ford of Orlando, FL and Darold L. (Kimberly) Ford of Savannah, GA; one daughter, Gretta Ford Sancho of Bradenton, FL; a daughter-in-law, Nettie Hill of St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, Lafayette (Virginia) Hill of Florence, AL; three sisters, Ernestine Robinson, Carolyn (James) Moore and Elizabeth Chandler all of Auburn, AL; ten grandchildren, Kasia Rowe, Alexandria Sancho, Fuller (Kelvet), Destinee Griffin, Jordan Ford, Kristopher Ford, Joseph Long, Kyron Williams, Andrew Ford and Katelyn Ford; a sister-in-law, Doretha F. Brown; two brothers-in-law, Jessie L. Ford and Edward Fields; best friend, Linnie B. Gordon; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and treasured friends.
