The funeral service for Mr. Everett Debrow, Sr., 95, of Auburn, AL will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 20, 2017 at White Street Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Town Creek Cemetery in Auburn, AL. Rev. Willie L. Muse will deliver the eulogy. Rev. Jamal Oliver, pastor will preside. Mr. Debrow passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at his home. He was a member of White Street Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent/Teacher and choir member. Mr. Debrow was a graduate of Alabama State Teacher’s College (B.S. Degree in Education), Tuskegee Institute (Masters of Education) and Doctoral work at The University of Southern California. His tenure in the educational system spanned from 1951 until his retirement in 1995. Mr. Debrow was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. During WWII, he served in the US Air Force. Alpha Phi Alpha Omega Service will be held this evening at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. He leaves to cherish his legacy and memories: his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Barbara S. Debrow of Auburn, AL; daughter, Angela (Sherman) Alexander and son, Everett Debrow, Jr. both of Auburn, AL; four granddaughters, Rhojonda (Davon) Thomas of Atlanta, GA, Jasmine Wright of Montgomery, AL, Imani and Evita Debrow both of Opelika, AL; grandson, Jalen Shermon Alexander of Auburn, AL; three great grandsons, David L. Thomas, Cameron and Chance Wright; five nieces, Marget Smith, Judy Long and Betty Woods all of Orlando, FL, Cheryl Danner of Ashburn, VA and Ingrid (Calvin) Danner-Davis of Los Angeles, CA, nephew, Roy (Leslie) Scott, Jr. of Glendale, CA; daughter-in-law, Taveta C. Debrow of Opelika, AL; two sisters-in-law, Betty Scott of Camaarillo, CA and Sarah Danner of Los Angeles, CA; nine great nieces, five great nephews, twelve great-great nieces and ten great-great nephews; a special cousin, Mrs. Tessie Floyd of Brewton, AL; a good friend and partner, Mr. Ollis (Susie) Bryant; a host of other relatives; his beloved students of LCTS, Loachapoka and Wacoochee.
